Rhonda

Veterinary Assistant

Rhonda joined our team in 2018, took a break during the worst of the pandemic, and returned in late 2022. In addition to experience from other animal hospitals, she brings many years of volunteer experience from working with farm animals and as an adoption coordinator with the MSPCA at Nevins Farm. She's also an accomplished equestrian, having taught, trained, and shown nationally in both dressage and eventing.

Rhonda earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from Gettysburg College, and she originally set out to be a writer; however, her lifelong animal connection could not be denied.

Rhonda says her favorite thing about being at this hospital is having the privilege to work alongside the brightest, most compassionate, and funniest team around. Along with most of the rest of us, Rhonda is a Fear Free™ Certified Professional.

When she's not working, Rhonda enjoys all things Pedro Pascal, movies (especially scary ones), high-intensity interval training, and volunteering in Humane Education at Nevins.

She lives north of Boston with a menagerie that includes three guinea pigs, a ring-neck dove, a one-legged pigeon, and a crested gecko—all adopted from Nevins.
