Hello, my name is Stefanie, and I am a veterinary assistant at VCA A Plus Animal Hospital. I have been in the veterinary field for about three years. I am from California and moved to Reno in 2020. I joined the veterinary field because I wanted to continue working with animals from my previous experience working at a zoo. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Zoology that I obtained in 2020. I eventually want to become a zookeeper again, and/or a wildlife photographer. I have four animals—a 2.5-year-old Siberian Husky named Kato who is an ultimate daddy’s boy and loves attention; a dalmatian puppy named Rohan who is very sweet and the best boy; a 5-year-old orange tabby cat named Chino, who screams for no reason; and finally, Noh Noh, an 11-year-old domestic shorthair cat, who likes to try and eat whole tubs of butter. In my free time I like to go birding, take wildlife photographs, hang out with my dogs and grow a human (expecting my first baby boy in February)!
