Staff Veterinarian
DVM
Dr. Linda Nguyen was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She earned her Bachelor's in Zoology and in 2017 received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, both from Colorado State University.
Growing up, she always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian and her love of veterinary medicine heightened after taking on any opportunity that crossed her path. Before veterinary school, she interned at a primate sanctuary caring for endangered primates in Maui, Hawaii. During the program, she worked in a small ruminant orthopedic laboratory and nearing graduation externed with sled dogs in Alaska. In the beginning of 2020, she was a race veterinarian and completed her first 1000 mile international dog sled race.
Dr. Nguyen is excited to join her team at VCA Alameda East and serve the community she grew up in. Her special interests include soft tissue surgery and preventative care. She believes that preventive care is the key to giving our pets a long, happy, and healthy life.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Nguyen occupies her time with her spouse and their two dogs, Scruffy and Hazel, and two cats, Ren and Stimpy. She enjoys going to the gym, spending time with her family, and everything that pertains to the outdoors. After living in Las Vegas for 3 years, Dr. Nguyen is excited to be back in Colorado.
