Dr. Jared Holtgrave began his career at VCA Arboretum View in 2013, participating in a one year internship in small animal medicine. After completing his internship, Dr. Holtgrave joined our emergency department in 2014. Originally from St. Rose, a small town in southern Illinois, he earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Augustana College in Rock Island, and then went on to get his DVM from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Holtgrave and his family live in the western suburbs. In addition to spending time with his family he spends his free time running, listening to music, exploring the surrounding areas, and doing anything outdoors.
