I grew up on a Kansas farm and graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1976. I was fortunate to be admitted to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State in 1976. I graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1980. I moved to Iowa in 1980 and worked for a mixed animal clinic for five years. In 1985 I joined the VCA Edgewood Animal Hospital staff.
I have had many furry children through the years. Currently I have one house cat, five farm cats, and five horses. I truly enjoy being a veterinarian. The wonderful variety of people and their pets, the challenges of solving difficult cases, the thankfulness that clients express when you help their pet – all of this and more make each day an exciting adventure.
