Dr. Schachtel is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology. He has extensive experience in Veterinary Ultrasound, Computed Tomography, and Radiology. Additionally, he is recognized nationally for his work in Video Fluoroscopy in Veterinary medicine, having published multiple peer-reviewed articles associated with the modality.
Prior to becoming a radiologist, Dr. Schachtel was a general practitioner, and he considers this practical experience indispensable in his day-to-day radiology tasks.
Academically he attended the top veterinary college in the world at the Royal Veterinary College, followed by an internship in California. Dr. Schachtel completed his residency at the University of Missouri, known to have one of the most comprehensive imaging departments in the world.
When not looking at animal images, Dr. Schachtel is coaching soccer, fishing, and enjoying his family life.
