Carolyn Nye
Veterinary Specialist DVM, DACVIM (Neurology and Neurosurgery)
Dr. Nye joined us from The Ohio State University where she completed her residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery. Her love for neurology developed during college. She attended Bates College in Lewiston, ME, where she majored in neuroscience.

Dr. Nye then went to St. Georges University College of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Her final year of Veterinary School was completed at North Carolina State University. Following veterinary school, she completed first a yearlong rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ, then a yearlong specialty internship in neurology at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital, in Woburn, MA. From there, she went to Ohio State for a three-year residency. She was boarded in Neurology and Neurosurgery in July of 2021.

Dr. Nye enjoys all areas of neurological diseases of the brain and spinal cord, but she has a strong interest in cancer in the central nervous system, in particular of the spinal cord. She moved to Florida with her husband and they were both excited to enjoy the warm weather. Since moving to Florida, they have welcomed a baby girl, Ariah, into their family. They also have two dogs and one horse. Outside of work, Dr. Nye enjoys spending time with her family, horseback riding, sailing, and being outside with her dogs.
