Dr. Nye is joining us from The Ohio State University where she completed her residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery. Her love for neurology developed during college. She attended Bates College in Lewiston, ME where she majored in neuroscience. Dr. Nye then went to St. Georges University College of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Her final year of Veterinary School was completed at North Carolina State University. Following veterinary school, she completed first a year long rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ, then a year long specialty internship in neurology at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital, in Woburn MA. From there she went to Ohio State for a three-year residency. Dr. Nye enjoys all areas of Neurological diseases of the brain and spinal cord but she has a strong interest in cancer in the central nervous system, in particular of the spinal cord. She moved to Florida with her husband, and both are excited to enjoy the warm weather. They have two dogs and one horse. Outside of work Dr. Nye enjoys horseback riding, sailing, and being outside with her dogs.
