Christan knew early on that her passion was caring for animals, making veterinary medicine the perfect fit. She loves helping pets feel better and building connections with both animals and the people who love them. One of the most meaningful parts of her job is when a client or patient remembers her—it's a reminder that she's made a lasting impact during an important moment in their lives.
Her professional interests include surgery, dentistry, emergency medicine, and diabetic management and education. While she enjoys helping all pets, beagles have an extra-special place in her heart. Their personalities and enthusiasm make her "so happy she could explode!"
Outside of work, Christan is deeply involved in dog sports, including Barn Hunt, Fast CAT, Scent Work, and Conformation shows. She also loves visiting Silver Dollar City, which she proudly calls her favorite place in the world. At home, she has quite the canine family: three westies—Jeager, Cutty, and Malibu; four beagles—Alabama, Jesko, "Her Majesty Princess" Pixy-Woo, and Salem; and two American Foxhounds—Mazy and Bryce.
A fun fact most people may not guess? She secretly adores pugs! If she could be any animal for a day, she'd choose a bear so she could spend the day sleeping. During busy shifts, you'll usually find her snacking on veggies and cheese sticks while fueling up with a 7 Brew energy drink. Her favorite color is yellow, which perfectly matches her bright and energetic personality.
