pet name predictions

With the new year just around the corner, we’re making some predictions for the top pet names for 2022. Will Luna, Charlie and Bella continue to reign or will a new set of names top the list?

Here are some classic and new options to consider:

  1. Ted/Beard/Roy/Tartt: Only second to our pets, Ted Lasso wins most likeable, so it only makes sense to name your cat or dog after one of the show’s characters.
  2. Salty/Pepper: With more people in the kitchen these past few years, naming your pet after one of the two staples of every dish is the perfect recipe for name-cuteness.
  3. Clifford/Hooch: The Big Red Dog and Hooch are having a comeback, and we predict they’ll have a few namesakes.
  4. Huck (Huckleberry)/Peaches: Jam is having a moment, and naming your pet after fruit is a perfect way to preserve their sweetness.
  5. Duke/Gus/Billie/Pete: Great classic name options for a strong and reliable pet.
  6. Betty (White): Do you have a white-coated kitten or pup? Naming her Betty or White could be a touching tribute to our favorite Golden Girl who’s enduring love for animals is an inspiration to all.
  7. Perry (Perrier)/Whiskey/Shirley: Cheers to naming them after a tasty drink.
  8. Goldie/Pearl/Ruby/Opal: It’s well known that diamonds are not a girl’s best friend. Rather, it’s their pet, but why not name them after a crystal, gem or mineral.
  9. Scout/Atticus/Jo/Holden: If you’re a fan of literature, consider a name from a novel.
  10. Einstein/Marty/Doc/(Great) Scott! One of the most adventurous pups in Hollywood was Einstein, the beloved time traveler. We can say for sure, one of these names from Back to the Future will stand the test of time.
