Dr. Joseph Jacovino was born in Long Island, NY, and grew up in Florida. He graduated from University of Tampa with a bachelor's degree in Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry in 2007 and attended veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences, graduating in 2011. Dr. Jacovino completed his internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Carolina Veterinary Specialist, followed by a specialty internship in Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at The Animal Medical Center in Manhattan, NY.
Dr. Jacovino’s interests include SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy) and IGRT (Image Guided Radiation Therapy) and the immune response to high dose radiation therapy. Together with John Chretin, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology), Trina Hazzah, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology), CVCH, Dr. Jacovino is here to meet your patients’ oncology needs and is available for consultations Monday through Thursdays.
