Dr. Celine S. Kermanian practices orthopedic and soft tissue surgery at the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. Her clinical interests include wound management, orthopedic surgery—particularly traumatology, and minimally invasive surgery, such as laparoscopic ovariohysterectomy and gastropexy. Dr. Kermanian is available for appointments on Mondays and Wednesdays and performs surgeries on Sundays and Tuesdays.

Dr. Kermanian was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Following completion of her undergraduate degree, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis. After veterinary school, she returned to Los Angeles, where she completed a rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. She then pursued additional surgical specialty training at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center and at Michigan State University's Veterinary Medical Center. Dr. Kermanian completed a formal residency training program in Small Animal Surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York, where she played an active role in teaching, research, and clinical surgery, before returning to Los Angeles and joining the team at VCA West Los Angeles again.

In addition to English, Dr. Kermanian speaks Spanish, Farsi, and Hebrew. She has volunteered on medical brigades, providing medical treatment to people around the world. She has also presented her own medical research at the American College of Veterinary Surgeons' national veterinary conference. In her free time, she enjoys getting together with friends and family, traveling, spending time outdoors, and trying new foods and fun activities.
