Dr. Margaret Smith is a veterinary dental specialist at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. She's passionate about relieving oral pain in all animals and has a special interest in maxillofacial trauma, oral tumors, and porcine dentistry.
As a board-certified dental specialist, Dr. Smith completed her undergraduate degree in biology at Indiana University and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University. She went on to complete her small animal internship at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital and her Dentistry and Oral Surgery residency training at Colorado State University.
“My goal is for every pet to maintain a good quality of life throughout the course of their life and a large part of that is their oral health,” expresses Dr. Smith.
In her free time, Dr. Smith enjoys hiking, cooking, baking, knitting, biking and roller skating. She has two cats (Glen Coco and Sudo), a German Shepherd (Cyrus), and a two-legged Chihuahua named Furiosa.
