Dr. Ino grew up in Santa Clara, California, and developed an early passion for animal care that guided his career path in veterinary medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Seattle University before returning to California to attend University of California, Davis, where he completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Shaun Ino moved to Los Angeles to complete a small animal rotating internship here at VCA Animal Specialty & Emergency Center (ASEC). During his internship, he discovered a strong interest in emergency medicine and we were eager to have him stay on as a full-time emergency doctor. He continues to provide compassionate, high-quality care to pets and their families through his work here.
A devoted chihuahua enthusiast, Dr. Ino enjoys spending his free time at live music events, running, visiting local breweries, going to the gym, and playing video games. He also loves exploring the outdoors—whether hiking scenic trails or relaxing on the beach with his dogs, Chip and Ducky.
