Dr. Murphy grew up in the diverse southern California communities of Santa Paula and Palmdale. She graduated from UCLA, where she studied linguistics and classical civilization. She started her veterinary career by working in specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals before attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.
She completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery in Mesa, Arizona prior to joining the team at VCA Thumb Butte.
Her interests include archery, history, and exploring languages. She has shared her home with Noel, a worldly coconut Retriever, and Creature, a long haired Guinea Pig, who has trained her to open the refrigerator door and feed him snacks on command.
Dr. Murphy is excited to connect with the Prescott Community by promoting preventative care and education.
