After graduating high school in Northern California, he joined the United States Navy. Upon completion of Naval Recruit Training, he immediately attended Hospital Corpsman "A" School in Great Lakes, IL, and attended Field Medical Service School on Camp Pendleton, CA. Philip has been station all over the world providing medical care for the United States Marine Corps. He has held position such as the Medical Director for Wounded Warrior Battalion, Logistics Director at 1st Medical Battalion and Operation Director at Aviation Survival Training Center. Philip retired from Naval Service after 20 years as a Chief Petty Officer.

Philip is excited to be joining the VCA family. When not at work, he enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, off-roading and spending time with his family.
