Stephanie has been in the veterinary field since 2005 but has been working with animals since college. After graduating from UC Davis in 2004 with a BS in Evolution and Ecology, she volunteered at the Sacramento Zoo and started working at the UC Davis Center for Lab Animal Science and became a certified Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT). She moved back home to LA in 2005 and began working at a general practice animal hospital and started school at Pierce College. In 2008, she became a Registered Veterinary Technician. In 2010, Stephanie explored other options in veterinary medicine and started working as a Cardiology Technician and an ER technician at Veterinary Specialists of the Valley. In 2012, Stephanie committed herself full-time to VSV, becoming a lead technician and eventually Co-Manager of the Emergency and Critical Care Department. In Fall of 2014, she sat for her Veterinary Technician specialty Boards and passed, becoming a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Emergency and Critical Care.

Stephanie is an avid reader, writer and photographer. When not caring for her patients, Stephanie has 9 of her own rescued animals at home: 3 dogs, a cat, a turtle, a tortoise, a rabbit, an Amazon parrot and a Macaw. Stephanie loves hiking and exploring the beautiful City of Angels with her camera and her deaf Pit-bull Fiona.
