Dr. Denitza Kakacheva attended Los Angeles Pierce College, where she received an Associate Degree in Pre-Veterinary Sciences. She then traveled across the country to attend The Ohio State University where she obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. 

California came calling once again, and Dr. Kakacheva returned to Los Angeles after graduation to complete a small animal rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. Dr. Kakacheva is a part of the emergency and critical care team at VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley.

Although born in Eastern Europe, Dr. Kakacheva grew up in the Los Angeles area. In her free time, she enjoys exploring national parks, dance, yoga and reading. Her most trusted travel companion is her large talkative mutt, Zeke.
