Dr. Andrea Shih grew up in Taiwan before moving to the United States to pursue her veterinary education. She earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis, and then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
During veterinary school, Dr. Shih discovered her passion for small animal surgery. She enjoys the challenge of surgical problem-solving and is excited to continue developing her clinical and surgical skills during her internship. Her long-term goal is to pursue a surgical residency and become a board-certified small animal surgeon.
Outside of work, Dr. Shih enjoys a balance of both indoor and outdoor activities. She loves watching movies, listening to music, and trying new foods, as well as traveling, visiting national parks, hiking, playing frisbee, and exploring new places.
