Dr. Katarina Wulstein was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, California. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Midwestern University in Phoenix, Arizona. Her clinical interests center on emergency medicine, and she enjoys the fast-paced, collaborative environment of helping pets when they need care most.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Wulstein loves spending time outdoors. Whether she's mountain biking, road biking, skiing, rock climbing, or hiking. After spending four years of veterinary school in the desert, she's thrilled to be back in the mountains, where she and her husband enjoy sharing their love of adventure with their two dogs, Obi and Mabel.
