Dr. Ashley Sharpe graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed a small animal rotating internship at Colorado State University. She then completed a research-intensive cardiology residency at the University of California Davis, where she led a clinical trial studying a novel therapy in the management of congestive heart failure in canine patients.
Dr. Sharpe's professional interests include the management of cardiac emergencies, interventional cardiac procedures, and client and veterinary education. She is an alumnus of the UC Davis Clinician and Wellbeing Fellowship and remains passionate about mental health in veterinary medicine and in residency training programs.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her best girls- Izzie, Andi (sweet mixed breed dogs) and Piper (Calico cat) as well as her main man – a ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Banks. When not at work, she enjoys hiking and running with her dogs, traveling, live music, outdoor water sports, horseback riding, cooking and trying new restaurants.
