Dr. Hilburger grew up in upstate NY. She attended Penn State from 2009-2017 for her undergraduate degree in veterinary and biomedical sciences. She then continued on to Cornell University for veterinary school, graduating in 2021. After veterinary school, she moved out to Colorado and completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Alameda East in Denver. Since then, she has been practicing a mixture of general practice, urgent care, and ER medicine. She joined the VCA travel ER program in 2024 and is now licensed to practice in seven states.
In her free time, she enjoys running, gardening, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, camping and hiking with her two corgis, Owen and Finn. She is an avid traveler and has been to over 30 countries, but also loves spending time at home with her two cats, Meeko and Hazel in her downtime. Her professional interests include trauma, feline medicine, and toxicology.
