Dr. George grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, IL. She completed her BA at Ohio Wesleyan University, followed by a dual DVM/PhD program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her PhD research focused on how environmental pollutants affect wound healing in fish, which led to her clinical interests of managing trauma and toxicology cases. She one day hopes to combine her passion for animal, environmental, and human health to contribute to aquatic wildlife conservation. Outside of work, Dr. George enjoys hiking, rock climbing, tennis, painting, and creative writing.
