A native of Clermont, FL, Dr. Alexandra Emelianchik [A-Million-Chic] attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate degree in Zoology. During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Emelianchik worked as a small animal technician for two years and interned with Harbor Branch Dolphin Photo Identification/ Stranding Team. While earning her veterinary medicine degree from the University of Florida, Dr. Emelianchik also completed externships at the Georgia Aquarium, SeaWorld Orlando, and the Institute of Marine Mammal Studies.

Dr. Emelianchik joins our team at VCA Hollywood to further develop her special interests in emergency medicine and ultrasound as well as pursue aquatic animal medicine through VCA Hollywood's partnership with Zoo Miami and the Miami Seaquarium.

In her free time, Dr. Emelianchik loves to scuba dive, play soccer and bake delicious sweets. She has a mini zoo at home which includes three rabbits, a dog, some fish, and a tarantula named Little Miss Muffet.
