Dr. Veronica Alamo was born and raised in South Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in Zoology with a minor in Wildlife Conservation and Ecology. Dr. Alamo moved to Scotland in 2019 where she completed her veterinary education at the University of Edinburgh. She has a particular interest in ophthalmology and plans to continue her training to pursue a specialty in veterinary ophthalmology. Dr. Alamo is excited to return to her home in South Florida and join the team at VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to live music, and trying new foods. While she has a dog at her family home, she is looking forward to when she and her husband adopt a cat and dog and start their fur-family.
