Dr. Fernald was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and grew up in Portland, Oregon. She received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Washington State University in 2019.
Growing up, Dr. Fernald loved to travel and decided to feed this travel bug by attending the University of Sydney, Australia, where she completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2024. Here, she had the privilege to work with some of Australia's famous critters, while becoming SCUBA certified in her minimal free time allotted.
Dr. Fernald has a strong passion for emergency and critical care medicine and soft tissue surgery. She loves to interact and collaborate with clients, helping to provide the best care for their pets.
Dr. Fernald enjoys hiking, skiing, tending to her plethora of houseplants, eating yummy food, and traveling with her partner.
