Dr. Balionis is an emergency veterinarian dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for pets and their families during some of their most stressful moments. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George's University, completing her clinical training at Louisiana State University.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Balionis completed a rotating internship at a private specialty and emergency practice in Brooklyn, New York, where she developed a strong foundation in emergency and specialty medicine. She subsequently pursued advanced specialty internships in both cardiology and surgery, further cultivating her interests in the management of complex cardiac diseases and emergency surgical cases.
Dr. Balionis enjoys the fast-paced and collaborative nature of emergency medicine and is particularly passionate about helping clients navigate unexpected medical situations while providing exceptional care for their pets. Her professional interests include emergency surgery and managing congestive heart failure.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Balionis enjoys spending time at the beach with friends, playing volleyball, and making memories with her beloved cat, Casper, who keeps her entertained and reminds her every day why she chose a career caring for animals.
