Dr. Crystal Garnett grew up in St. Louis, MO, and received her veterinary degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2012. Following graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at The Ohio State University. She then moved to California and completed her medical oncology residency at the University of California, Davis and became board certified in oncology in 2016. She achieved her acupuncture certification from the CHI University in Florida in 2022. Dr. Garnett enjoys all aspects of cancer management in companion animals, with an emphasis on honoring the human-animal bond. Her professional interests include integrative medicine with a focus on acupuncture to help the body heal and tolerate cancer treatments as well as improve quality of life for the patients and in return, their owners.
Outside of the hospital she enjoys yoga, strength training, reading, live music, and camping with all three of her dogs in their travel trailer.
