Dr. Hagan Dooley received his doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. After graduating, he moved to Seattle and completed a rotating internship at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle for the year of 2018-2019. There he continued his education in specialty services and emergency medicine. In 2019-2020 Dr. Dooley was then accepted to a surgical internship at Seattle Veterinary Specialist, Blue Pearl. There, he continued his surgical training, assisted in and performed a myriad of orthopedic, soft tissue and laparoscopic procedures. Surgery has always been a passion for Dr. Dooley and is one of the many reasons he decided to continue his career here at Deer Creek Animal Hospital.
Prior to vet school, Dr. Dooley grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago and then received a BS in Animal Science from the University of Vermont. Dr. Dooley now lives in Denver with his partner Leslie, who is pursuing a PHD in Epidemiology (University of Colorado), and his two rescue dogs Fletcher (a Coon Hound Shepard mix) and Louie (a wire-haired lab mix). He enjoys exploring the mountains via snowboarding and hiking as well as exploring the numerous breweries and restaurants in the greater Denver area.
