Dr. Kiersten Record is from Evansville, IN and went to school at Purdue University for her undergraduate and for veterinary school. She worked in general practice for five years, but really missed the ability to work up and care for sick patients which prompted the shift to wanting to work in ER care. She started working at VCA AVCC in April 2026. Her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is where she has the ability to be the voice for animals who do not have one and getting sick pets healthy and back to the owners who love them. She is a Fear Free Certified veterinarian and a Cat Friendly veterinarian, with the latter certification received through the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. She loves to travel, as she has been to seven continents and 16 countries so far, and already has her next international trip in the works. On the day to day, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, or cuddling with her cats, Nina, Benny, and June.
