Dr. Luiza Placheta received her veterinarian education in 2021 from the University of Missouri after getting her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry from Greenville College in 2018. We're happy to have her join our VCA Deer Creek Team in 2025!
She has one pet named Denali, an 8-year old Coonhound/Dachshund mix. Luiza was born in Poland, grew up in the Chicago suburbs and since then has lived in Illinois, Missouri, California, Washington and now Colorado! Her biggest passion is wingsuit BASE jumping, but also skiing, speedflying, running, and traveling the world on crazy adventures with her partner.
Dr. Placheta brings her love of client interaction to the emergency team. "Many people say that they went into veterinary medicine because they don't like people, but I'm quite the opposite. I enjoy client communication and education, as well as being a helping hand in difficult decisions when it comes to their pets' health."
Dr. Placheta's professional special interests are Emergency and Urgent Care medicine and surgery.
