Dr. Luis Pizarro was born and raised in Puerto Rico. After earning his undergraduate degree at the University of Puerto Rico, he was accepted to Tuskegee University in Alabama, where he obtained his veterinary degree. After graduating from veterinary school, he completed a small animal rotating internship at Animal Medical Hospital in Charlotte, NC. His special interest in veterinary medicine includes general practice, surgery, and emergency medicine.  

Outside of work, Dr. Pizarro spends his time outdoors with his dog, Bori. He also enjoys a good game night, kayaking, hiking, visiting new breweries/restaurants, and having quality time with his friends and family.
