Dr. Alling is a Massachusetts native. He graduated with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. After graduation, Dr. Alling completed a rotating internship at VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital and Referral Center, followed by an ophthalmology internship at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He then stayed on at Louisiana State to complete a residency in ophthalmology before becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 2022.

Dr. Alling's special interests include corneal endothelial disease and corneal surgeries such as conjunctival pedicle graphs and corneal laceration repairs.
