Special Interests: I enjoy the challenges and variety that emergency medicine brings. I am especially interested in endocrine emergencies and feline obstructive uropathies.

Pets: Limoncello, a rambunctious Cairn Terrier acquired in 2013 when he was just a pup. He had a congenital liver defect (extrahepatic portosystemic shunt) that was corrected surgically at SouthPaws. He has never known that anything was wrong with him!

Personal facts: I grew up in Miami, FL and I realized while completing my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in upstate NY that true snowy and gloomy winters were not for me. Virginia has offered a nice balance between cold and sunshine. Outside of work I enjoy outdoor activities (more so in the summer), yoga, drawing/painting, reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and, of course, spoiling Cello!

Member of the VCA SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center team since June 2013.
