Dr. Traina
Associate Veterinarian DVM, CVA
Dr. Traina joined our team in 2022. She enjoys treating all exotic companion animals and has a special interest in avian and aquatic species. She is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, and she practices acupuncture on all small companion animals (cats and dogs included!).

Dr. Traina graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2020, and she went on to complete a one-year internship at an exotics-exclusive practice outside of Washington, D.C. She stayed on at that practice for another year, and we're so pleased she chose to relocate to New England!

Prior to and during veterinary school, Dr. Traina spent seven years as a technician at Avian and Exotic Animal Hospital of Louisiana. While in veterinary school, she also received her certified veterinary acupuncturist license from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry with honors from the University of New Orleans in 2014.

When she's not working, Dr. Traina enjoys scuba diving, piano, New Orleans Saints football, and Cajun cuisine. Her home menagerie includes a German shepherd, a Siamese cat, axolotls, and a crested gecko.
