Dr. Aponte was born and raised in Puerto Rico where her love for veterinary medicine originated. She pursued a degree in Cellular Molecular Biology at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras Campus and went on to Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2021. Dr. Aponte has a passion for emergency and critical care and has been working in ER since graduating. She first joined VCA AVCC in 2022 and is most excited about making a difference in your pet's health and quality of life.

During her free time, Dr. Aponte enjoys traveling, going to the beach, as well as spending time with her significant other, her dog, Greca, and her two pet rats, Peaky and Blinder!
