Dr. Bergen obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She completed her final year of clinical studies at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton, Massachusetts. She stayed at Tufts the following year to complete a rotating small animal internship. Dr. Bergen then completed a surgical internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego in Sorrento Valley before moving to Los Angeles for a 3-year small animal surgical residency at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital.
Dr. Bergen enjoys both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Soft tissue interests include surgical oncology, thoracic surgery, and reconstructive surgery. Orthopedic interests include arthroscopy, tibial plateau leveling osteotomies (TPLO), and fracture repair.
During her spare time, Dr. Bergen enjoys spending her free time with friends, hiking, and rock climbing.
