Dr. Kochis received his BS in Animal Science and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 1992 and 1996, respectively. He completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Oradell Animal Hospital, New Jersey in 1997.
He remained at Oradell for two additional years where he supervised ER services. In 1999, Dr. Kochis made his way to the Pacific Northwest and worked as an ER/critical care doctor at Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital in Portland, OR. In 2002, he entered general practice at Rose City Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Kochis joined Zoetis in 2008 as a technical services veterinarian and relocated to San Francisco. In 2010, he joined the Veterinary Strategic Services team at Zoetis and worked with specialty hospitals and veterinary colleges throughout the Northwest region.
His veterinary interests include infectious diseases, immunology, emergency medicine, and communication skills. Dr. Kochis has served as President of the Portland Veterinary Medical Association for two years and served on the planning board of the Oregon Humane Society Animal Medical Learning Center.Read More
