Special Interests:
A veterinarian and epidemiologist with over 15 years of experience in emergency medicine. While epidemiology has always been her passion, so has emergency medicine, which is why she remained active in clinical practice over the course of her career. As an ER veterinarian, she practiced in a variety of settings, ranging from serving as the sole overnight doctor responsible for receiving cases, managing hospitalized patients, and performing emergency surgical procedures, to teaching fourth-year veterinary students and rotating interns in a veterinary teaching hospital. In addition, as an epidemiologist with a strong clinical background, she actively supports and contributes to peer-reviewed research in veterinary clinical settings and is experienced in establishing isolation protocols, infection control SOPs, and antimicrobial stewardship plans for tertiary care facilities.
