Personal Facts:
Dr. Lauren Driskell was born and raised just outside of Cincinnati in Mason, Ohio. She has always been interested in science and puzzles, which developed into an affinity for medicine as she was choosing her career path. Lauren only realized she wanted to be a veterinarian midway through her undergraduate degree, when she adopted her beloved canine, Dakota. On Dakota's first puppy vaccine visit, the general practitioner introduced Lauren to veterinary medicine and led her to a position in the field as a veterinary assistant. Since then she has not looked back! She has worked in small animal emergency medicine exclusively and thoroughly enjoyed it. She has recently moved to northern Virginia and very excited to join the SouthPaws team, in this next chapter of life. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and napping on the couch with her cats.
