Dr. Bella Lemay-Kristoffersen grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with a "zoo" of animals at home. From a young age, she knew that her love for animals, science, and problem-solving would lead her to become a veterinarian. She attended the University of Florida (Go Gators!!) for undergraduate school and earned a bachelor's degree in animal science. Dr. Lemay-Kristoffersen then moved to Colorado, where she attended veterinary school at Colorado State University. In veterinary school, she discovered a profound interest for small animal surgery. This motivated her to complete a small animal rotating internship at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital, and she strives to pursue a surgical residency following her internship year.
Dr. Lemay-Kristoffersen loves skiing, hiking, gardening, and spending time outdoors in the sun. She never fails to be amazed by the mountains of Colorado and enjoys photographing marmots. She loves cooking, trying new foods with friends and family, and snuggling with her dog, Mattis.
