Dr. Mackowski grew up in Milwaukee, WI. She completed my undergrad at University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and received her bachelor's degree in biology and neuroscience.
She then completed veterinary school at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. One of the craziest but most rewarding things she's ever done! During veterinary school, she discovered her love for neurosurgery and she is looking forward to pursuing a specialization in neurology after her internship.
Outside of work she loves to spend time traveling, both to new countries abroad and to new national parks here in the US. She absolutely love trying new foods and learning new recipes! She also enjoys hiking, camping and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
