Emily, Veterinary Assistant

Hey there, my name is Emily and I am a Veterinary Assistant here at VCA A Plus Animal Hospital. I was raised locally here in Reno. I am currently in school to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician but that may change. My eventual goal is to work for the Oregon Zoo designing enrichment activities and overseeing new introductions. I love working here at the hospital. I like feeling like, even on my worst day, that I've accomplished something that matters. I've helped one pet even if I lost another three. I currently have two cats, Mojo Jojo and Mandy (The Destroyer of Worlds), as well as a Pointer/Pitbull mix named Jada. In my free time, I love reading. I average 1-2 books per week with a smattering of comics thrown in here and there. I also write about a novel a year and do wildlife photography in the summer.
