Cassandra Wolsic
Specialty Medical Director DVM, MS

Dr. Wolsic received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and Master's Degree in Education from the University of Illinois. After graduation Dr. Wolsic worked at several primary care small animal hospitals, and eventually was overseeing multiple hospitals in the downtown Chicago area. Dr. Wolsic started as the Specialty Medical Director for VCA Arboretum View in 2022, and continues to practice in the Primary Care Department.

Looking for a way to improve longevity and quality of life with our canine and feline companions, is what led Dr. Wolsic to integrative medicine. The ability to combine alternative therapies with conventional medicine, allows her to offer more options to managing chronic disease and conditions. Integrative medicine, specifically acupuncture, can be used with respect to a variety of chronic conditions including neurological, musculoskeletal, endocrine, and behavior issues. Dr. Wolsic started her studies into Integrative Veterinary Medicine several years ago, by completing a certification course in acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). Future fields of study include: chiropractic, herbal supplementation, and rehabilitation certification.

Dr. Wolsic enjoys spending time with her family and their three dogs, attending her son's basketball games, and hanging out by the pool. She also enjoys time at the barn with her two horses, Elmo and Diamond.
