Dr. Mastrostefano attended the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, and she also earned a graduate certificate in the Care and Conservation of Aquatic Animals from the University of Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Roger Williams University, and she is Fear Free™ Certified. Prior to joining us in 2022, she completed externships here and at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital, as well as at the New England Aquarium, the Georgia Aquarium, and the Mystic Aquarium.

Prior to completing vet school, Dr. Mastrostefano worked at VCA Westboro Animal Hospital, the Wildlife Clinic at Tufts University, Lincoln Animal Hospital in Rhode Island, and Foster Hospital for Small Animals in North Grafton.

Dr. Mastrostefano sees cats, dogs, small mammals, reptiles, and fish. She is passionate about her work with marine mammal and sea turtle rescue groups, where she's volunteered for many years.

When she isn't working, Dr. Mastrostefano enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and playing tennis. She lives north of Boston with her rescue dog, Vinny.
