Dr. Shawn Chandrakumar joined the VCA West Los Angeles Team in September 2022. He obtained his BVSc from Massey University Veterinary School in New Zealand, and then completed an Internal Medicine Specialty Internship and an Internal Medicine Residency at Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) in San Diego, California.
Dr. Chandrakumar has a special interest in Immune mediated Diseases and Gastrointestinal Diseases, but what he likes most about his job is helping improve patient's health and connecting with the pet owners.
Dr. Chandrakumar shares his home with his cat named Romeo, and enjoys watching and playing different sports like basketball, soccer, football, and tennis.
