Dr. Emily Teng is from San Diego, California. She received a Bachelor of Science in psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked as a veterinary assistant in Beverly Hills prior to attending veterinary school at The Ohio State University. She completed her small animal rotating internship at VCA Animal Specialty Group, San Diego, and her small animal internal medicine residency at VCA West Coast in Orange County. She has special interests in treating chronic diseases and fostering the human-animal bond. When she is not in the hospital, she is often hiking, doing yoga, traveling, and spending time with her dog and two cats.
