Originally from Fresno, CA, Dr. Saiisha Kaushal grew up surrounded by animals, including her family dogs and an Amazon parrot, which sparked a lifelong passion for veterinary medicine. She earned her bachelor's degree from California State University, Fresno, and went on to receive her veterinary degree from the University of California, Davis.
Dr. Kaushal has been working in the veterinary field since 2017 and is passionate about internal medicine, emergency care, and preventive health. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is the constant opportunity to learn and grow, always striving to become a better doctor for her patients and their families.
Outside of work, Dr. Kaushal enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her two beloved dogs, Kaia and Koda. Kaia holds a special place in her heart—originally part of a teaching colony at UC Davis, she was one of the dogs used by veterinary students to practice physical exams, ultrasounds, and more. Dr. Kaushal cared for her during school and later adopted her, making her a permanent member of her family.
