Kourtney works in the Emergency department. She joined VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center in 2017, but took a break from the ER life in 2019. She's been a veterinary technician/assistant in the area for 18+ years, having worked in both ER and general practices (frequently at the same time). After years of working in a GP practice, she knew it was time to go back to her passion and work in the ER full-time. During COVID, she was the "runner" who went out to get pets from the cars when we were completely curbside, often reaching 20,000+ steps a day! Kourtney's passion is advocating for owners and their pets. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two standard poodles, George and Rebel, and her 30+ year old cockatiel, Norman.
