Dr. Jennifer Hoppe grew up in San Mateo in California's San Francisco Bay Area and earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis. She then went on to complete her veterinary degree (MVB) at the University College Dublin School of Veterinary Medicine in Ireland. Dr. Hoppe is excited to continue her training as part of the VCA West Los Angeles team and looks forward to the many learning opportunities her internship year has to offer.
Dr. Hoppe's professional interests include diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and surgery. While she is particularly drawn to these areas, she is approaching her internship with an open mind and is eager to learn from every service and specialty.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Hoppe enjoys archery, hiking, beach days, skiing, snowboarding, and exploring new restaurants. She also has a passion for Japanese culture, food, and anime. At home, she shares her life with a lively collection of pets, including Angus, Ruby, Daryl, Bailey, Morgan, Red Rocketship, Yogi, and a variety of saltwater fish, ensuring there's never a dull moment.
