Taylor Stanton

Emergency Veterinarian

DVM

Dr. Taylor Stanton grew up in Queens, New York, and initially planned to pursue human medicine, but discovered during undergraduate studies that veterinary medicine was a much better fit for her curiosity and love of animals. She went on to attend St. George's University in Grenada, completing her clinical training at North Carolina State University and earning her DVM in 2024.

After graduation, Dr. Stanton completed a small animal rotating internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, before moving to California in 2025 to complete a yearlong specialty cardiology internship in Irvine. She is excited to continue developing and refining her skills as an emergency veterinarian at VCA West Los Angeles. She is passionate about emergency medicine and has a particular interest in cardiac and respiratory emergencies.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Stanton enjoys staying active through various community recreational sport leagues, trying new coffee shops and considering herself a bit of a coffee connoisseur, and spending time in the kitchen cooking for friends and family. She also loves taking advantage of the California sunshine with days at the beach, while making time to visit her family on the East Coast.
